Natural purists rejoice, there is a fabulous new collection of lipsticks just waiting for you to test. Ere Perez has released an olive oil lipstick range which features – quite obviously – olive oil. I’ve always been fond of olive oil and its many skin uses and benefits. With its superb moisturising properties it makes for a lovely body oil and is excellent for removing make-up.
There are eight flattering colours to pick from and I’ve been joyfully testing the shade Surprise which is a terrifically rich shade of pink. The colour is quite bright – if wearing a rather frivolous colour frightens you then I recommend dabbing a touch of the lipstick on your lips using a cotton tip – much more subtle. It is comfortable and wears quite well – with no uneven fading and lasts through various drinking and eating.
Perhaps one of the best features is the addition of olive oil. Being naturally hydrating and boasting a high count of vitamin e, it has the ability to feel like a nourishing and regenerating lip balm whilst not being a sticky mess.
