Recently a box of Baby Mum-Mums appeared in the Beauty and Lace letterbox, and it just so happens that the timing was appropriate as my baby girl is starting to really enjoy her food. These baby snacks are labeled 12 months plus – my little one is 8 months old so I supervised her closely with one just to make sure, and she had no problems with it.
Baby Mum-Mums are rice rusks with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are gluten egg and peanut free. They are baked, and not fried with no added fats or oils. Even the most health conscious mums would have to give these the tick of approval as they are nutritious without any nasties. Shaped like miniature surfboards, Baby Mum-Mums are a good size for little hands and easily digestible – they melt in your mouth so the risk of choking is extremely low.
My bub embraced these straight away, and now every time she sees them her eyes light up and she reaches out her hands. I did take a bite myself, and as an adult they seem a bit bland – but that just makes them perfect for babies who are finding their way in a flavour packed world.
The other benefit is they don’t crumble, they can snap in half but they don’t create mess like a traditional teething rusk or biscuit snack would. They are individually wrapped in packs of two so you can slip them in your handbag for out and about.
The main reason I am writing this review is because baby loved them so much that I wanted to share with other mums, because honestly – when we went grocery shopping yesterday I picked up another box. I will continue to buy these until she gets bored of them!
Available in original, apple, vegetable and banana flavours, Baby Mum-Mum Rice Rusks are an ideal snack for growing babies.
