The skin around one’s eye is precious, delicate. It needs to be cared for gently, with no heavy pressure and with a light and nourishing product.
There’s a lot of wonder out there if eye cream is even necessary at all, can’t you just use normal face cream, people ask? Well you could, of course, but keep in mind that eye skin is quite thin – much so then facial/body skin – and most day creams are just too heavy. Eyes need something fluid and light, as to not cause puffiness from excessive product use.
For the past few weeks I’ve been busily testing the best of natural eye products just for you and here are the stand-outs –
Grown Eye Cream – A light and creamy blend, rich in antioxidants. This glides on quite well and only requires a touch of blending to sink in. A good choice for those who wear eye make-up – this won’t cause any smudging.
Bee Beauty Rosehip-C Ultra-Rich Eye Care Oil – A treat for the eye area at night-time. This oil contains rejuvenating ingredients and is wonderful for drier skin types. A little goes a very long way and this can also be used all over the face.
Trilogy Eye Contour Cream – A favourite amongst beauty writers, this little gem has a cooling blend of aloe vera and a luscious list of ingredients for thirsty eyes. Sweet almond, rosehip, evening primrose and shea butter work deeply to restore skin’s radiance.
When applying your natural eye product, please make sure you gently dab – vigorously rubbing is too much trauma for the fine area.
