It’s been a big couple of weeks for Lana Del Rey!

Actually Lana Del Rey has had a big year. The release of her single ‘Video Games’ earlier this year made her an instant worldwide star. The instant success went on to ensure that her album ‘Born To Die’ debuted at number one in eleven countries, including Australia where the album is Platinum.

There is more to Lana Del Rey’s popularity than just her unique voice and attitude, she is also well known for her distinctive sense of style. Perhaps  it’s this sense of style that brought her to that attention of H&M, that’s something we can’t know, but it is that sense of style which will be captured and beautifully illustrated in the images for Lana’s first ever fashion campaign, for H&M.

First H&M announce that the talented singer-songwriter will be the global face and voice of H&M for the upcoming season.

H&M have announced that Lana will be the face of a print campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, this will be complemented by a music video for Lana’s cover of ‘Blue Velvet’. The fully plotted video is being shot by director Johan Renck and will be available to watch in its entirety from September 19 at, edited versions will be utilised for the TV campaign. Through it all Lana will be showcasing the best of the H&M Fall fashions in her own distinctive style.

To top off this fabulous news is the debut Australian tour, sure to be a hit with fans of the stylish songstress, which kicks off on July 21st.

Friday July 20 saw Lana Del Rey arrive in Adelaide before her Spin Off Festival performance on Saturday July 21. The Spin Off Festival is Adelaide’s answer to Splendour In The Grass, no more whining that Adelaid-ians miss out on the hot acts playing Splendour In The Grass – now they get a Spin Off and the hottest acts touch down mid country.

After Adelaide Lana heads to Melbourne and Sydney with each city getting two headlining shows, all of which are completely sold out.

The Australian tour finale takes place at the sold out Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay on Saturday July 28.
