User Review: The Secret Life of Pets

The holidays are almost upon us, again, so what better time to hook the family up with a new family friendly movie to occupy the kids on the long hot days that leaving the house just seems a little too hard.

The Secret Life of Pets released at the cinemas earlier this year and was a huge hit with adults and children alike, now it’s being released on 4K Ultra HD™, 3D Blu-ray™, Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital from December 7, 2016.

The team behind Despicable Me have teamed up again to answer the question I’m sure many of us have asked over the years…. what do the pets get up to when we’re not home.

Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures team up for their fifth fully animated feature-film collaboration, The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead when they have the house to themselves.

Loyal terrier Max gets an unwanted, oversized and boisterous new brother named Duke from the shelter and must learn to adjust; and share his pampered lifestyle.  They slip away from their dog-walker and find themselves lost in New York City, on the run from animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by a bunny. Max and Duke put aside their differences to survive the journey home – before the family.

The Secret Life of Pets is voiced by a stellar comedic cast which includes Louis C.K., (TV’s Louie), Eric Stonestreet (TV’s Modern Family), Kevin Hart (Ride Along), Jenny Slate (Zootopia), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Lake Bell (TV’s Children’s Hospital), Dana Carvey (Wayne’s World), Hannibal Buress (Neighbours series), Bobby Moynihan (TV’s Saturday Night Live), Steve Coogan (Minions) and Albert Brooks (Finding Dory).

5 of our lucky members will receive a copy of the DVD for review, I look forward to reading what they thought in the comments section below.
