Recently I received some products with very plain packaging. A simple white bag with computer printed note. No big statement item and not even a touch of ribbon. Interestingly enough, its “lack of” made it catch my attention.
Inside the bag were two products from Papulex, an acne fighting brand newly launched in Australia which is a best seller in Europe.
Would the plain packaging allow the products to speak for themselves? Would it prove that having less really is more? It was time to find out…
Papulex Soap Free Cleansing Gel
Cleanser is like breakfast, an important way to start the day! The Soap Free Cleansing Gel is a gel formula with…no soap. It fights acne without unbalancing the skin’s moisture levels and is dermatologically tested. You can use this on any acne prone areas such as the face, neck, chest and back.
The scent isn’t overally strong, but it does remind me a little bit of aftershave – the positive of this is that it is definitely a unisex product.
Papulex Oil-free Cream
The moisturiser doesn’t really smell like anything as it is fragrance free. Quite a gentle little product that shouldn’t irritate any angry skin. If you do suffer from acne you shouldn’t avoid the moisturiser all together, just choose one like this Oil-free Cream to finish your skincare regime.
Both products have been specifically designed with acne in mind but there is no reason why you can’t use them on other skin types as they don’t have that harshness to them. Plain packaging? It’s what’s on the inside that counts!
