The fairytale came true for Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins and Purple Wiggle Lachy Gillespie Saturday April 9th as they said their vows in a late afternoon wedding ceremony at Hopewood House in the NSW Southern Highlands town of Bowral.
They were joined by almost 200 close friends and family, including original and current Wiggles except original Greg Page who unfortunately had a prior commitment.
Australian designer Suzanne Harward created Emma’s elegant ivory ‘vintage meets contemporary’ gown and the diamond headpiece was by milliner Viktoria Novak, who was also a guest at the wedding.

Emma’s six bridesmaids wore floor-length latte coloured gowns, also by Suzanne Harward, and there were two flowergirls in matching beaded tulle tutu-style latte dresses.
Lachy and his six groomsmen, including Red Wiggle Simon Pryce, wore Arthur Galan suits.
Blue Wiggle Anthony Field, along with other bagpipers from his regiment from his army days, wore a full regimental highland bagpiping uniform to play for Emma as she arrived and also when the bridal party left the ceremony.

The gorgeous fairytale wedding was all about Emma and Lachy but there were definite, subtle Wiggles inclusions. Both Emma and Lachy’s wedding rings have Emma’s signature bow engraved and are set with nine rubies to signify their wedding date.
The wedding cake was made by Sydney couture cake creative Felicity Beutler at Sugarbee Cakes. It had Emma’s signature bow made from icing and a pale yellow and purple used to signify their Wiggles colours.
Dinner was full of special performance, poems and speeches. Lachy surprised Emma with a song during speeches, lyrics written by special guest friend Ben Elton.
Following dinner the guests danced long into the night. Music was provided by The John Field 10 piece band, led by John Field who is the brother of Blue Wiggle Anthony, and Wiggles MD and ex-frontman of The Cockroaches Paul Field. There were so many talented musician in attendance that different guests performed throughout the night, including Paul Field, original Red Wiggle Murray Cook and the groom himself Lachy Gillespie.
A representative for the couple says:
Of their incredible day, Lachy credits seeing Emma for the first time as his favourite part; “Seeing Emma was the most magical moment of my life. Everything else just seemed to melt away.”
For Emma, she summed up their wedding with just a few short words; “Lachy. Love. Laughter. The best day of my life.”
Special memories of the day were captured by only one photographer, the talented Lara Hotz.
